If you plan to appeal your CBP Exam score, it is important to follow CBP’s appeal requirements. CBP will reject the appeal if it:
- is incomplete, is untimely, or is in the wrong format
- includes any arguments written by another person
- does not provide supporting arguments
- argues for an answer the applicant did not select
- contests an incomplete erasure or insufficient marking on the applicant’s answer sheet
To help you submit an appeal that complies with CBP requirements, we’ve created the CBE Appeal Checklist. Be sure to review each item and place a check mark next to the individual requirements.

The appeal checklist is great, but please note there are separate addresses for protests filed via U.S. Mail and FEDEX or delivery services, per the letter advising exam results dated 5/9/08.
Proests filed viaU.S. Postal Service are sent to:
U.S. Customs & Border Protection
1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Attn. 1400 L Street NW
Broker Compliance Branch
Washington, DC 20229
Protest filed via FED EX, UPS or other similar services are sent to:
U.S. Customes & Border Protection
1400 L. Street NW, 4th Floor
Broker Compliance Branch
Washington, DC 20005
You might want to link a corrected checklist on your site.
Thanks for all your help!
